Travelling Route for Burma 16 days

Hi, so I’m flying into Yangon late November from Bangkok, I have sixteen days and I want to utilize them all…

I don’t have a set budget but I’m going cheap! I don’t know a lot about Burma so any recommendations for places I should visit would be appreciated.

I want to try take the least amount of internal flights as possible, so I’m walking/ bussing etc. just making my way around.

Does anyone have any ideas on a good route to take?

First of all , I would love to suggest you for your accommodation that November is already in peak season of Myanmar tourism. Booking in advance is good option & Contact to one of local agents in Myanmar.

My suggested itinerary is following;

Day ( 1 ) Arrival at Yangon & visit to Greatest Shwedagon pagoda

Day ( 2 ) ( 3 ) Visit to Golden Rock ( Kyaiktiyo pagoda ) by taxi ( Bago sightseeing on the way back )

Day ( 4 ) Bus to Bagan

Day ( 5 ) ( 6 ) Bagan sightseeing

Day ( 7 ) Mt.Popa & Salay sightseeing

Day ( 8 ) Boat trip to Mandalay

Day ( 9 ) Sightseeing to Sagaing, Innwa & Amarapura

Day ( 10 ) Explore to Mingun by boat in the morning & Mandalay sightseeing in afternoon.

Day ( 11 ) Flight to Heho & then Proceed to Inle lake

Day ( 12 ) Inle lake sightseeing

Day ( 13 ) Flight to Thandwe from Heho

Day ( 14 ) Ngapali Beach

Day ( 15 ) Ngapali Beach

Day ( 16 ) Flight back to Yangon

Day ( 17 ) Flight back home.

I think it will help you to make your happy travel in Myanmar.

Feel free for more inquiries.

Day 8- Inle Lake sightseeing by boat.

Overnight Nyaung Shwe.

Day 9- Nyaung Shwe to Pindaya/ Kuckoo/ Taunggyi day Trip

by private car. Overnight Yaunggyi.

Day 10- Taunggyi > Heho airport to Mandalay by flight.

Departure 16:00 PM, Arrival 16:35 PM, Fare 66 USD/pax.

Day 11/12- Mandalay & around sight seeing.

Day 13- Mandalay to Bagan(Nyaung U) by River Cruise.

Departure 6:30 AM, Arrival 4:00 PM, Fare 43 USD/pax.

(include breakfast & Lunch)

Day 14/15- Bagan(Nyaung U) & Mt.Popa sight seeing by

private car.
