Tourist card and Departure tax

We are thinking about going to Sosua in Spring. I read some articles that says that the Tourist Cards and Departure Tax are not included in the packages with Sunwing and Signature vacations. Is that still the case?

Thanks

We were also looking at Sosua with Sunwing. Where would I get the Tourist card and what would be the cost of one.

We have purchased our entry visas on the site below for 20USdollars each. Just print them out and put with passports. Alternatively you can get them on arrival at the airport to fill in.

Departure tax is payable at the airport when departing and if I'm correct in saying it's 25USdolars each?

It's $10 in and $20 out if you are flying Sunwing.

Do not book with the embassy it is twice the actual cost. Flying to Puerto Plata (POP) you certainly can wait till you get here and buy it when you land. It will be a 5 min or so line to do so and you will still be waiting with everyone else for your luggage and transport.

You will not save any time at this airport by purchasing it early. You can also book them direct on line (I do not know the site but some one will post it) for the normal $10 US fee.

jackgo

You should have only paid $US10 per person for your Tourist Cards on the website you posted in # 4............its $US20 per person for your Departure Tax.

There is nothing to fill in with the Tourist Cards..........its the Blue Immigration form that you have to fill in but they are given out to every passenger on your aircraft.
