A should not miss in AR?????

Hello fellow travellers!

I'm in Russellville,Ar.......I love the area and

even though I have some information,I'd like to hear what experts

in the area have to say.I've visited some of the state parks and they are fabulous(Lake Dardanell SP,and today Arkansas RiverVC

Lock and Dam...........perfect,impeccable.........

Next week I'm planning to do some travelling to places nearby.....

Please for those that have experience in the area kindly suggest

itineraries,if you'd........I'm planning to stay here for a while,I love to hike, and also visite antebellum homes?

Each and every suggestion is much appreciated, caravallo.

* Wine Country - Altus area, west of you

* Mt Nebo State Park - take the rim trail (360 degrees) on the mountain top.

* Lost Valley State Park - up north a ways. Great scenery

* paddle Ponca to Pruitt on the Buffalo River (Check water levels. You may have to go further downstream

* Little Rock for Clinton Presidential Center - gorgeous place even if you are not a fan of Bill

* Mountain View (quite a ways) on weekend nights for music in the courthouse square. Like no other place. Pick up music on park benches. Awesome

* Digging for diamonds and crystals - quite a drive. Crystals are the most fun if not the most valuable.
