Pushkar Camel Fair 2011...

So I really want to go to the camel fair and see all the livestock. I understand that after the first couple days, the traders start to go home and there aren't as many animals. I would love to get to Pushkar right at the beginning but I won't be able to get there until November 4th and would stay for two nights. I want to see camel races, moustache competitions, big wheels, lots of animals, great photography and anything else. Is the festival still in full swing around November 4th and 5th? Thanks!!

hi there, you can actually get the date wise activities which are happening in pushkar fair on their website. Secondly you can also look at the Nagaur cattle fair, which actually i think is better than pushkar fair in many ways, specially if you are looking at authentic experience, but since you are already booked.....enjoy pushkar

Hi we are going during that time too, though unfortunately we cant get there until 4 days into the fair, so we'll miss most of the great things you'll see - I included a link for a site for tented camps, but it was the only place I found an actual calendar of events. I copied the whole thing below, but the a few of the columns moved a little, so you may want to look for yourself via the link.. Also, I do think it is subject to change. Have a great time hope this helps
