Driving in the Aroglis Peninsula

We will be renting a car for two days out of Nafplio and would like a couple day trips driving to the east of Nafplio. We know about the archeological sites but what towns would be recommended for stopping for a short visit and then more on? We aren't looking to spend much money just stop and visit then move on to the next town.

You can read about some of the towns east of Nafplio here:

These are the towns/places in eastern Argolis I think is worth a visit.

You don't really say what kind of towns you like to visit, but Palia Epidavros, Kranidi, Kilada and Ermioni are all towns that I like especially well. You could also drive to the Methana peninsula and the south eastern shore of Argolis, because of the beautiful landscape.

(You'll find descriptions of all these towns/places on the web site)

We enjoyed lunch at a seaside restaurant in Asini on the day we drove to either Mycenae or Epidaurus. Also, check out the beautiful beach in Nafplio if you have a car. (Arvanitia Beach?)

You will love the area!

Arvanitia is the Nafplio Town Beach, pebbles and some concrete platforms , very good swimming with a pleasant cafe. You can carry on walking along the sea path under the cliffs for forty minutes (there is also a road) to a sandy beach at Karathonas, a bit shallow for my taste.
