Guess I already answered you at https://www.facebook.com/VisitNafplio , but anyway, my answer there was:

Don't know, I haven't heard a thing But that also means that I haven't heard that it's cancelled, and the program always comes just a couple of weeks before the festival starts, so there is still hope! I'll let you know as soon as I know something, in the meanwhile, you could always check this page now and again for updates: http://www.nafplionfestival.gr/en/

As for the Argos Mykenes festival, same story as above, but the link is, of course, different: http://newargos.gr/images/stories/fam2012.pdf

What I do know is that the Epidavros festival will take place: www.greekfestival.gr/en/mobile/program.htm…

Thank you. I looked at the Epidavros festival but could not see whether 'helen' by Euripedes was in Endlish by any chance or Greek. Can you tell me please?

Looking forward to visiting anyway, Nafplion is so beautiful, have been once before.

We will be staying in Tolo for the swimming but will take the bus into town.

Is there a bus from Nafplion to ancient Nemea?

About Helen: not sure. They use the word "translation", but I guess this means "translation of the ancient text". You could always use the contact form on the page and ask.

Nafplio - Nemea: there is no direct bus, you'll have to take the Nafplio - Isthmos bus, and catch a bus from there to A. Nemea.

Bus routes Nafplio - Isthmos: www.ktel-argolidas.gr/…

I think you must take the Athens - Nemea bus from Isthmos to Nemea, and ask the bus driver to stop at Ancient Nemea, route here: ktelkorinthias.gr/index.php/…nemea-athina

The bus will be in Isthmos apprx 55 min. after leaving Athens.

Thanks. Maybe we will drive, but like to avoid this on hols as it can be very stressful and hot, it's hard to stick to not doing too much and getting exhausted .

Totally agree!

But A. Nemea is only 45 min away by car, so it will save a lot of traveling time if you use it, of course.
