Pollensa Sunday market

Can anyone tell me what time the market is in Pollensa on a Sunday and what time to get there given that parking I'm guessing may be a problem

Thanks

It's usually in full swing by 9.30. Parking is certainly a problem and you'll probably have to find a space by 8.00? The market has increased in size over the years and is very popular with coaches coming in from as far as Palma. It usually starts closing down at around 1.00. One bit of advice, though. Keep you purse/wallets safe. Pickpockets see this as a day for easy pickings

If you want to arrive later then you can still park pretty close by if you as late as 10-10.30. There is a large dirt car park on the outskirts of Pollenca which is 10 minutes walk in. The car park is close to the final pollensa exit on the road in from PP.

It's in full swing at 8am and it's closed by 1pm. Best to park outside the town where you can and walk in.The market extends beyond the market square into many of the side streets which are narrow. But in the market square especially it's a wonderful sight with the blaze of colours not only from the flowers but the fruit and veg too.Years ago you could buy fresh meat and fish but those have gone by the wayside. One of the abiding memories of a holiday in N Majorca.

The large car park, which was waste ground by cockerel roundabout was being resurfaced in April. Not sure if it's still a car park or something else now?

Hi

Does anybody have an update on market day parking, is the cockerel roundabout waste ground mentioned by ivyb0 still a good place to park?

No need to park that far out. Just look for somewhere adjacent to the main road Pto Pollensa - Palma .There are some (2 I recall) right turns (heading South) signposted Pollensa after the cockerel roundabout past the school/sports complex and we park as soon as we get off the main road.Less than 10 minutes walk from there to Market Sq.

We were in Pollensa a month ago and got to Sunday market about 9.00, even then the two car parks were getting busy. By the time we left at about 11.00 ish the cars were queuing to get into the car parks and people had started to park in the parking area off the cockerel roundabout by the sports complex. From here I'm guessing its about a 10/15 minute easy walk.

So it's still a car park? Just re surfaced. Only takes us 10 minutes to walk from there.

Cant wait for October, I'm wishing the summer away!
