Hi,
am off to Soller on Sunday. Just wondering how easy it is to find parking in either the town or the port.
Also wondering if anyone could tell me the best place for seafood paella in the area.
All suggestions welcome!
Thanks
Both are tricky places to park, firstly the town, I always head for the car park in the centre, which is just before you come to the Gran Hotel, the problem is you sometimes cannot get on it because it's that busy, if that is the case you end up going back the way you came in to the town and I usually would find some on street parking near to where they have recenty built some apartments.
The port is also busy, however if you head for the Repic beach side, there is a car park next to the main road on your left next to the tram track, and it is free to park there. If you go through the tunnel to the other side, there are a couple of small car parks to be found just behind the promenade.
Edited: 13 years agoThere is a multi-storey car park in the port which always has plenty of spaces. The trouble is they have changed the traffic direction several times in the port and as I don't drive in Mallorca I can't direct you there. I can't even say have a look at a map of the port as that has not been updated.
As markpool has said I would try the Repic beach side first (the southern end of the port). There is also plenty of parking in the road behind the shops and cafes along the Repic beach but you have to take a small left turn before you reach the sea front .
Parking in the town is also tricky but there is a large underground car park at Camp de S'oca by the tramline.
For seafood paella I will recommend Restaurante Agapanto: http://www.agapanto.com
Beautiful location with stunning view in the end at Platja Repic. Every saturday and sunday, from 12:00 to 14:00 hrs, there is a local fisherman who cooked the paella. The very best in the area!
Enjoy your stay!
I agree, the paella at Agapanto is superb, my favourite restaurant on the port too.
