Trails Around Algonquin/Huntsville This weekend

No snow in the south, what are the trails like in the Algonquin area these days for hiking?

Hey there. I haven't been into the park yet, but around here there is still some snow in the woods/shady areas. Today more than others . It snowed in Whintey and Maynooth area last night. It should melt by the weekend though.

According to the Algonquin Park weather report it looks like temperatures in the lower 70's for this coming weekend. That should take care of any snow. That is not to say the trails may still be in rough condition as a result of the thaw. For those interested in the walking trails in Algonquin Park whether it be for this weekend or later, here is a link describing the trails:

GREAT weather, trails were open and not that many people. A little icey but should be clear soon. Even Mizzy was open and passable.

We just did the Logging museum trail with the boys on Saturday! So much fun! There was a little snow, but not enough to slow us down. There were only 4 or 5 other cars in the parking lot when we got there, so it was very peaceful~ We also went to the Visitors Centre. So much fun! The park pass for a year is $140.00 Get to go whenever we want to now. :-)
