Knotts Berry Farm Chicken Dinners?

Where is the restaurant for the chicken dinners? Is it located within the Park? Are reservations required? Or, when is a good time to go and hopefully not have a wait? Thanks!

Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner is outside the Theme Park, in a shopping/dining area that does not require admission. Plus there is a parking lot that allows 3 hours free parking. They do not take reservations (Except for large groups of 12 or more), it is just queue up in a line.

Late Afternoon is a good time to go, especially on a weekday to avoid a long line.

We were over there last Thursday between 4:30 and 5:15 PM and there was almost no line. The other good time to go is an early lunch.

Do not follow the signs to theme park parking, keep going. If you see a spot on the street in front of the shops and restaurants, park there. If not, there is a ticketed lot on your left just past TGIF. As long as you leave within 3 hours it is free.

Just an FYI for people, there is a shop attached to the bakery that sells the fried chicken, sides, biscuits and pies to go. We have bought from there and it is the same as the restaurant. They will give you plates and utensils if you ask.

You have gotten good answers, probably better than if you used Google. :) You ain't never had a friend like Trip Advisor. :)

To be specific the name of the area where Mrs. Knott's is located outside the park is Knott's Market Place. The name of the street that Jennifer is talking about is Grand and it runs one way past the park entrance, through the Knott's Market Place, along the mentiioned parking lot and past the Knott's Resort Hotel.

Also in the Market Place are two large gift shops, a Snoopy Headquarters Store, the Farm Bakery, Chicken-To-Go, the Farm Market (jams, coffees, chocolates, and kitchen giftware), a Pink's Hot Dogs, and TGI Fridays. Some neat features of the Market Place are two fountains and, behind the back doors of the Farm Market, remainders of some early displays the Knott family made. Needless to say, you may want to take some time walking around.

I think the best time to go to Mrs. Knott's depends upon what time of year you are going and whether it is a weekend or not. You can't go wrong with going right when they begin lunch, 11:30 because during busy seasons, days, the line is shorter than the rest of the day.

If you are going to the park on the same day you can get a hand stamp for return as you exit the park to go to Mrs. Knott's. And in this case, park at the Beach Blvd. lot because a full day is cheaper than the Grand parking.

I just remembered there is a giant chicken standing in front of the restaurant. How could I forget that?!
