Staying at Del Coronado - Fun, food?

We are staying at the Del Coronado in a few weeks. We are in our mid 20's and not really into the whole history thing, but are staying here for a convention. We will have no car - what is there to do for fun .. also are there any fast food or restaurants in walkable distance (preferably on the cheaper side!) Thanks~

Not much fast food. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Have never found any very cheap. Checkout Bino's over by the ElCordova for breakfast. Miguel's is very good! We really like Costa Azul, also. Just sight seeing on Coronado is fun for us, and of course the beach. Have fun!

I would repost this question in the San Diego Forum, the Coronado forum is too small, posts get buried quickly.

Burger Lounge is a great place. They have grass fed beef and real burgers. There isn't that much good Mexican on the Island except Candelas and it is upscale Mexican.

Village Pizzeria is great for Italian and pizza, but I like their location at the Ferry Landing better than the Orange Ave location.

Also in the Ferry Landing area is your fast food, Burger King, Taco Bell and KFC, but better than those are Spiro's Gyros, L'il Piggy BBQ, Tartine and the Coronado Brewing Co.

The Ferry Landing is about a mile walk from The Del, but there is a bus too.
