Need ideas for family reunion events!!

So we've planned our first ever family reunion in Desert Hot Springs. We have about 30 adults and 20 kids in all age ranges. Does anyone have ideas of fun events we can do as a group in or about the area? We all live in other states, so we are clueless! We will be there in December (14-17). Thanks for your help!!

Joshua Tree Natl Park is just up the road.Nice hiking trails available.

There is the Smoke Tree stables in Palm Springs for horseback riding.

Indian Canyons is a nice place to visit.(Right near the stables)Nice hiking trails.

The Palm Springs tram is nearby.Goes to the top of the mountain.

The Living Desert zoo is very cool.At that time of year they have the holiday lights show. Not to be missed. They have a great scale model train set up,that is very interesting.

The Coachella Preserve has nice trails in a huge palm grove.

There is gambling at several casinos.(adults only)

Golf of course!

Some may like to shop on El Paseo, sort of the Rodeo drive of the desert.Or there are outlet stores in the opposite direction.

There is the art museum in Palm Springs,as well as the air museum next to the PS airport.

Thank you! These are great ideas. Does anyone know if there is a good park area around to have a family BBQ picnic at?
