Prairie Creek Redwood Campground to Reno, NV help

Heading from Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park to Reno, Nevada.

I have one night to stay somewhere and wondering if anyone can suggest a place so delightful that it is not to be missed enroute.

You've posted this on the Fort Bragg forum. When is your trip? There are fires in NorCal right now.

This does not belong on the Fort Bragg forum. The CA forum would work.

You'll be passing right by Lassen National Park. It is a not to miss place.

Redding and Lake Shasta? Haven't been there since I was a kid but it's on the way (4 hour drive to your start and end points according to Google maps). Anyone think that's a good idea?

And yeah, why this is in Fort Bragg I'm not sure.

I'd skip both of those & continue another hour to Lassen National Park.

You are certainly more knowledgeable about the area. OP, listen to this guy/gal.

There are camping cabins at Manzanita lake in the park & rustic lodging at Mill Creek & Child's Meadow. You could spend the next day in the park & then have an easy 2.5-3 hour drive to Reno.

Maybe they want to go down the coast and cut over and back up to Reno? If so, Ft. Bragg is logical, but otherwise...huh? Hopefully, the fires will be out soon, too.

Trip is August 25 to September 2nd. I will repost in the CA forum.
