naviigating in Irvine

Hello,

i recently came t Irvine and i lost all sense of direction, i would like your kind guidance -

if i don't have a compass or a map, where is the North in Irvine? how can i find the compass' directions according to the streets or else?

First option: basically, guide off the I-5 or I-405. See which way you want to go on those. If you're crossing over the 405 and the 5 consider yourself going East or West. If you know where the ocean is and you are headng towards it then consider that direction West; going away from the ocean, East. (It's not always true in all cases but it's too complicated to get into with a short post without confusing the issue even more.)

Second option: Find a bookstore or a AAA office and buy a map. …aaa.com/en-ca/…get-maps.aspx

Third option: pre-map your trip on a computer and print it out.

I'm sure there are other ways but those are just off the top of my head.

A compass wouldnt help much... East of the 5 freeway is considered North Irvine. The sun is setting in the West so Exit the 5 freeway the opposite from it and toward the mountains
