99% of the time no

Also be adviced that sitcomes can take 3+hour plus for a taping, it is really not as much fun as it sounds.

Talkshows are usually better as they"tape" live, meach means, once the show starts, it will be over in 60 minutes

Ive been to several tv tapings..including Golden Girls, Family Feud and Saved by the Bell. Generally sitcoms have a comic who warms up the audience and makes gestures as far as when to laugh. The actors seem to be too busy remembering their lines and following the director orders to pay attention to the audience. At the end of the taping one of the stars may say thank you and thats it.

Plus it could be hard to keep up with the story line. They may not shoot within the order of the storyline. They may even do a re-shoot for another episode.

Dont even bother seeing a gameshow. They shoot like 5 shows in one sitting and u get really bored.

Seems like the best show to see a taping of is Jimmy Kimmel since his show is right in the middle of Hollywood and tickets are easy to get (unlike Leno where there is a long wait)

Jimmy Kimmel is a great suggestion. Always a fun show. The warm up guy is pretty good and there are always other tourists in line. I met some fun people from all over the world while attending a taping.

Same day tickets are pretty easy to get(unless Jonas Brothers or any other teen fave of the moment will be a guest) in front of the theater where the show tapes, which is right across the Chinese Theater

I dont think the show tapes on mondays, rather then tue thru fri and sometimes they take a week off between shows.

Another advantage in watching a show like this is that they will air the same day and the audience is shown a lot, so you might be able to see yourself on tv the same day. Unlike sitcoms or gameshows that will never show the audience

As for game shows, they usually tape 5 shows a day but dont make you sit thru all of them, they switch audiences in between(As even an exciting audience will get rather quiet and bored if they watch the daily double question for the 4th time, lol) Also, if you choose a game show, you can always leave after a taping. There will be a couple of minutes resess after a show is taped. Just tell the usher you have to go and they will escort you out
