Tour and Show Parking

We are planning to stay at the Doubletree by LAX and I would like to book a Paramount Tour which needs to be 10, 11, noon, or 1. We also have tickets for Craig Ferguson on the same day at 3:30.

My questions are:

How long of a drive will it be from the Doubletree to Pauamount Studios?

Anyone know about parking for this tour?

Google map says Paramount Studios is 3 miles from the Craig Ferguson show, is there any practical way to park in the middle and walk to both?

How much before 3:30 should we arrive at the Craig Ferguson show? How long to plan to be there?

It is practical to book an early tour and return to our hotel and then drive back to the 3:30 show. I know traffic can be awful, but I don't know if we are in a high traffic area.

Sorry so many questions, any help is really appreciated.

Please, please, please: don't stay at the airport. LAX is far from everything, especially Hollywood. Forget the maps: there is some traffic everywhere, most of the time.

To answer your questions:

1. There is parking at the studio. Sorry, don't know what it costs, probably $5 to $10. There is also street parking which is pretty easy. Park SOUTH of the studios, off Melrose Avenue.

2. The drive will take 35 or 40 minutes WITHOUT TRAFFIC (which means, Mon to Fri, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.). Before or after that period (up to 7 pm) count on it taking closer to an hour.

3. Craig F is filmed at CBS Television city at Beverly Bl & Fairfax Av. If you want to walk 3 miles, go for it. At a normal rate of speed, it will take an hour and a bit.

Alternatively, you could walk south from Paramount to the next major east/west Street (Beverly Bl) and pickup the next #14 or #714 bus westbound to the corner of Beverly and Fairfax (in front of the studio). Or, you could drive, of course. CBS also offers parking (?? $) or you could park on the street (more difficult in this area -- look north of Beverky Bl).

4. If you returned to your hotel in the middle of the day, you'd be in both the morning and afternoon 'rush hours' which means over 3 hours in the car for the 2 round trips. Ugh!

Change your hotel. Consider the Farmers Daughter (across the street from CBS) or the Elan Hotel (4 minutes west on Beverly Bl or any number of other places nearby.

We prepaid and cannot change our Hotel, so I guess we will plan a later tour and maybe get lunch in between.

Take the noon tour. Leave your hotel around 10:15am and you should be at Paramount by 11. You'll have 45 minutes or so to grab a coffee or snack nearby. At 2pm after the tour, go directly to CBS and you should make it in 10-15 minutes. Next to CBS is the Farmer's Market with plenty of quick-dining options so you should be able to grab a bite and be in line by 3pm.

Do your tickets say "guaranteed seats" or do they say "come early because not everyone is admitted"?
