USC to CitiNational Bldg near LAX

My son at USC needs to get to the CitiNational Bldg. near LAX. He doesn't have a car - which is easier: take Metro (which line? He thought 111 but this didn't get him to LAX) or take a shuttle to LAX? If he takes a shuttle, which terminal is the closest stop to make this walk which is supposedly "a block from LAX"? He was told the building he needs to go to is next to the Sheraton on Century Blvd.

Thanks!

Looks like the easiest thing to do is to use Metro bus 754 on Vermont Ave. (i.e. from Jefferson & Vermont he can board the bus, northwest corner of USC campus) and take this to Century & Vermont, then use Metro bus 117 on Century Blvd. to Century Blvd. and Avion Drive. This is across from the Sheraton and if I've identified the CityNational building correctly, he'll need to walk only a few hundred feet west and north to get there once he exits the bus.
