Where to rest with 12hr stopover in LA

Hi, My flight from Aus arrives at 9:00am and my flight out of LA is at 10pm. I want to be able to sleep and get comfy during this stopover. Can anyone suggest what I should do? Most Hotels would probably not let me have a room for day time or am I wrong. Hope someone can come up with a good suggestion.

Thanks

Karen

Lots of hotels do this. Here's one (they house most of the airline personnel who are coming and going at all hours of the day and night):

Also check Sheraton 4 Points LAX - I believe they have 24 hour check-in. Call the local number rather than the 800 number and ask specifically what they can offer you for your expected arrival time.

The only place I know with half day rates is the LAX Travelodge on Century Blvd. They have hours from 9 am to

8 PM for about $55, and offer a free shuttle.
