Heated pool necessary in August?

We are thinking of renting a house in August. Some do not have heated pools but claim it will be fine durng the summer. We are thinking of staying in LA, or perhaps Malibu. Is the answer different in Malibu because it's cooler? From what can see the high temp in the summer is generally in the low 70s. Thanks.

Totally going to depend on what week you catch, could be 90 during the day and 75 at night or just as easily 75/65. Generally, yeah, I'd say a non-heated pool would be fine in August during the day. If you're looking to have a little sneak away late night dip alfresco, you'd probably want a little heat. It will be cool-ish regardless.
