I always think well ahead to the next trip(s). I'm now thinking a one week trip to northern California next year should be in order.
There is a decent chance I'll be traveling solo. I usually do some trips with friends or family and at least 1-2 solo each year - the solo ones are usually to towns, however, which affords me plenty of options for amusement even if I'm alone. For instance I can go to London alone any time and not run out of things to do (though I do have friends there). By contrast, I'm not sure my trip to Provence this past summer would have been nearly as much fun solo as it was with my Mom.
I like hiking and photography (and wine!). If you were to spend a week, solo, based in Mendocino, what would you seek out to do and see? I'll have a car.
