well what do you want to do in all these places ? One could spend a weekend hiking or relaxing in Mendocino or go to Fort Bragg or go south to the Alexander valley Is it 5 days you have that will give you the amount of time to spend. you may want to do one day near Pt Reyes/ Bodega bay, a couple in Mendocino and then you can decide how to spend the the last 2 days either in Napa or Sonoma. or you will be doing a lot of driving. You mean Calistoga right or if you are into wine then perhaps 2 in Napa and Sonoma and one each in Point Reyes area and Mendocino may work

Another option is to Do the Point Reyes part, then go North to Mendocino and then west to Healdsburg and then drive to Calistoga

It helps to look at the B&Bs in that area and find one that meets your budget needs. There are reviews on those places here on TA.

For most folks, Fort Bragg and Mendocino is at least a 3 day trip. A day driving up and back (via different routes) and a day there to enjoy the sights.

If you are going to spend anytime in both Napa and Sonoma, you probably don't have enough time if you only have 6 nights.

6 nights is very little time to spend in all those places. We just came back from Fort Bragg and Mendocino and we spent 2 nights there.

We spent 4 nights in Mendocino a couple years ago and will be back again this summer. Stay in Mendocino over Ft. Bragg, which is just a short drive north. You can walk the village, headlands and get down to the beach for incredible views and explorations. So very beautiful and peaceful. We took a kayak trip up the Inyo River, explored the small wineries up beautiful Hwy 128 in the Anderson Valley, redwoods, lighthouses. We also spent a couple days in Pt. Reyes and Tamales Bay...enjoyed it, especially having a fog shrouded beach all to ourselves in July, but this year heading north up to Trinidad to see the coastline and redwoods up that way.

We are returning to the amazing Agate Cove Inn in Mendocino...just a note since you mentioned Pt. Reyes, we stayed at the Lignonberry Farm in Pt. Reyes, would probably seek another B&B, the beds were worn out and very dated as were the linens. Great location and food, but for the price you can do better in this beautiful corner of CA.
