4th Celebrations at Morrow Bay and Parking

I am thinking that Morrow Bay might be easier to navigate. Where would you suggest parking? and how early should you arrive to get a good parking space?

Morro Bay isn't a big town - I'd park anywhere on Morro Bay Blvd or Main Street south of Morro Bay Blvd and walk down to the Embarcadero. The fireworks are set up at a park right on the harbor in that area, but a short walk saves you a little bit of the gridlock that happens when the show is over and everyone is trying to get back to Hwy 1.

Last year was a laser show, and it just so happened to be a clear night, so it was disappointing. This year, the fireworks are back, and the weather report is uncertain as to whether it will be foggy, as it usually is, on July 4th.

Pismo Beach and Cayucos also have fireworks...both are pretty crowded places for the weekend, especially Cayucos, since they have a great parade the morning of July 4th.

Wherever you end up, have fun!
