Sonoma in late June

Any reason not to go in late June? Are there any special festivals that will make it really crowded during that time. Thanks.

June should be a great time. The season will have started here, but shouldn't be in full swing and busy like if you came in Sept/Oct. As far as Sonoma goes at least... (you have Sonoma in the title of your post, but posted it in Napa forumn), i'm not as sure about Napa festivals, but Sonoma you should be good! The calendar here might help;

Father's Day weekend (June18-21) in Sonoma is very crowded due to the NASCAR races.

Did you want to ask this of the Napa, or the Sonoma forum?

(you're in the Napa forums).

Your post gave me a big chuckle since it used to be (maybe still is) people actually thought that Sonoma was part of the Napa Valley. Oh how the grinding of teeth and the anguished outcries would commence!! Some of us even developed complexes because of it ;D

Yes, and there is still confusion. Sonoma Valley is pretty far from the Russian River/Dry Creek/Alexander Valley venue.

Could we talk the powers that be into changing Sonoma to "Sonoma County" and "Sonoma Valley" and maybe changing "Napa" to "Napa" and "Napa Valley". After all, the Napa Valley has many communities, not just the city.

And the Sonoma Valley does as well, not just the town of Sonoma.

And the County of Sonoma is vast.

Is there anybody listening in TA who lives out of California, who has a map? <grin>.

Puter-

There is actually a separate "Napa" and "Napa Valley" forum, at the suggestion of a few active TA forums members.

Initially, we thought it was a *great* idea-- now we're not so sure.

Seems like it's just lead to confusion-- and the folks that go to the Napa Valley forums (not many) miss out on a lot of great info.

Hey, you just gave us a great idea-- on the Napa Valley TA forums, we'll post (as our #1 "top question") a link on how to get to the Napa Forums (and why).

Thank you! :)
