First or all, thanks to those who contributed to the success of our trip while we were preparing and seeking advice from forum members.
So, here is our feedback on the places visited:
Del Dotto (Napa): Special experience, great wine. Tour and guide were great. Best of all for us
Frog's Leap: Nice terrace, OK wines, Tour was a bit long. Tasting being done throughout the tour. In our opinion, best to skip the tour and do a tasting on their terrace.
Jarvis: Nice place to visit. Waterfall inside the caves. Felt a bit on the clock. Tasting room felt a bit intimidating (People were barely talking)
Conn Creek: The young lady was knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with us explaning where the wine is coming from. We really enjoyed this tasting
Domaine Carneros: Chateau-type location. Tasting sparkling wine combined with cheese plate was good.
Artesa: Best view of all the spots visited. However, very impersonal. Were not given attention while tasting even if the place was not crowded
Regusci: Did not fall in love with their wines but the picnic area and views are nice.
Round Pound Olive Mill: The guide simply speaks too much. Was wondering if and when the conversation would go back to olives... Overall, an ok experience, nice snack at the end. The tour got interrupted on many occasions because the guide is also responsible to monitor the store and greet people showing up.
Bottega: Simply the best dinner of our trip. Everything from the ambiance on the terrace to the appetizers, main course and desert was excellent. Service was disappointing though.
Brix: Went to Brix for lunch. Food was very good and the terrace with garden view is worth the stop
Auberge du soleil: Went to their Bistro for dinner. Much more reasonnable priced than their restaurant. Drinks are expensive but for a bistro-type of evening, you get to enjoy the best view of the valley
Celadon: Went to Celadon for lunch. Good food, nice outside location.
