Nap Wineries - Bottle Purchases?

Hi - I will be in Napa and Sonoma and doing some tasting. I live in NYC and do a lot of tasting on Long Island. We usually like to visit 1 or 2 a day, sit and relax and buy a few bottles to have during out stay. Can you do that at most wineries in Napa?

yes. With the caveat that some wineries are by appointment only but plenty others have tasting rooms open where you do exactly that.

The wineries will be only too happy to sell you a bottle or more of their wine! As belomiser says, some are by appointment only, but those tend to be the smaller boutique wineries - most of the large ones are open all day. Also be aware that many charge for wine tasting, but may deduct the cost of the tasting from any bottles you buy.

Yes, most definitely, keep in mind you won't find great discounts at the wineries, but you may find wines that are only made in small quantities and not sold in your state.

Have a great trip!
