Terra Cotta Inn Vs Desert Sun Resort

Can anyone who has been to both resorts lately compare/contrast DSR and TCI as to amenities, rooms, bed comfort, etc? Thanks.

I have nor been to Desert Sun because it is a clothes FREE resort as opposed to the Clothing Optional atmosphere at Terra Cotta.

We enjoy the atmosphere at Terra Cotta because we like to swim and sunbathe nude but have no desire to play nude volleyball or socialize in a night club nude. We like the freedom to wrap up in something if we get chilly and the idea that clothing is frowned upon is not for us.

Thanks for your input, we understand the difference between a "nude" and "clothing optional", and agree with your sentiments.... especially at meals.

Do you have any information about Areolas Spa and/or Living Waters Spa in Desert Hot Springs?

Thanks again.

We have been to Living Waters too.

It is very small and the rooms were very nice. The water is actual spring water while the water in Terra Cotta is not. I prefer Terra Cotta , though, because I felt a little claustrophobic at Living Waters. In addition there's no place I like to eat in Desert Hot Springs and the town of Palm Springs offers more restaurant choices if we go out to eat.

Have not stayed at DS but have stayed at Terra Cotta and Living Waters. Like the fact TC is couples only while the others are not. Also like the fact TC is closer to downtown PS than LW.

As the owner of Desert Sun Resort, we are glad that you asked the question. Please come for a free tour of our facility anytime and compare for yourself. Since we have almost 100 rooms, we do not qualify in the small hotels category. We have over 5 acres of landscaped grounds, 3 pools including a salt water pool and 2 jacuzzis. We are the only clothing optional resort with a full restaurant, bar, tennis court and spa. DSR has built two new conversation areas with firepits and has put over a million dollars into a remodel of the resort and pools.

Check out our website at www.desertsunresort.com and take a look at the pictures of the resort.

Our resort is clothing optional (wear what you want except for a swim suit) anywhere at the resort including the restaurant except for in the pools or laying just around the pool. We do this to prevent any gawkers and it works. Guests are very comfortable because no one is judging anyone.

Come see why Desert Sun Resort is a favorite place to stay from guests all of the world. Thanks, Elizabeth Young

Since Dessert Shadows was done over into Dessert Sun, it is much nicer than Terra Cotta. Terra Cotta badly needs work, but the people are all so nice there. The sun is cleaner, much nicer grounds, tennis and a good resturant.
