Palm Springs for Cheer competition

We are headed to Palm Springs for a cheer compeition 3-5th Feb. The team have a block booking at the Palm Springs Hilton. After reading the reviews I'm not sure if the Hilton is where I want to stay. I don't want to pay for parking, breakfast, resort fees or internet. But don't mind paying up to $200 per night for the right place near the convention center. Is a pool that important in Feb???? Your advice please. My husband and son will be making the trip with us this time.

I would look into the Spa Resort Casino first, they won't charge for parking, can't comment on resort fee or WiFi fees, but check their website.

The smaller hotels like the Courtyard, Best Western Las Brisas Hotel, and the Andreas Hotel & Spa won't charge for parking and might include breakfast.

PSP is making a huge positive move in so many ways. My suggestion is to look at the B&Bs in PSP and read about some of the best ones.

There are several in the top 5 that I've stayed in over the past 10 years and I'm sure you will be happy with any of them.

For instance I stayed at the "Old Ranch Inn" last Feb. and loved the two owners. Ed and Larry (I believe their names) were fantastic.

Also look at the Rendezvous and others. When I travel to PSP I enjoy trying different B&Bs. Give them a call and see what they can work out for you.

You will LOVE Palm Springs!
