Ontario Airport to Palm Springs is tough. The only regular daily transit into Palm Springs is Greyhound. Greyhound runs five trips per day into Palm Springs. What you'd have to do is go to San Bernardino, 20 miles from the airport, presumably by shuttle. Then you could take Greyhound to Palm Springs, and your relative in Palm Desert could presumably pick you up at the train/bus station (which is really in the middle of nowhere). It doesn't seem worth it to save a few bucks, I'd just take a shuttle the whole way.
Thank you...... is there a shuttle service you would recommend.....we do intend to "shuttle"
Because of the hassles you seem to be having, if you were my friend, I'd come and pick you up.
Would your friend do that .. you could have a nice chit chat on the way home.
I'd even ask your friend if they know of any shuttles, then they may offer.
Well, it's 85 miles from Ontario airport to Palm Desert so it's a lot to ask of a friend. I don't know specific shuttle companies, but I suspect there aren't too many.
I'd still offer to pick my friend/relative up .. I'd be so pleased that they made the effort to come and visit me.
There are a lot of retirees in Palm Springs area. My Aunt lives in PD and she will no longer drive freeways. She'll drive to the grocery store on surface streets, but as sweet as she is, she would not offer to pick up anyone in Ontario.
