Temecula Valley

We will be visiting Palm Springs in February. We are thinking about taking a day trip to the Temecula Valley to visit some wineries. Has anyone done this or have any advice or suggestions?

Hi jdyann,

Glad to hear you'll be visiting Palm Springs and Temecula Valley! You can find a complete listing of the wineries in Temecula at temeculacvb.com/visitors/… . I think you'll find that it takes more than 1 day to do everything Temecula Wine Country has to offer. In case you want to see hotel listings you can go to http://temeculacvb.com/hotelrates .

If you're interested there is also 2 for 1 tasting coupons here - http://www.temeculacvb.com/visitors/coupons/ . There is also coupons to other activities as well.

If you have questions regarding any of the wineries you can call - 1-888-363-2852.

We hope you enjoy your stay!

If you enjoy wine it is a pleasant day out but I would avoid weekends as it gets very busy with limo groups who aren't always, uh, necessarily appreciative of fine wine, just lots of wine! You can circle the entire valley easily; the south side, along De Portola Road, is a little quieter and perhaps with more boutique wineries. Wineries I personally enjoy include Hart (rustic and friendly), Cougar, Falkner (great views) Bailey, and Robert Renzoni; some wineries are more "mass market," some aspire to fine wines (with varying success); a few do tours, many have picnic areas and some have restaurants--its just hard to choose!
