That is almost a thing of the past. Very few places do that anymore.Wallys Desert Turtle is one that does close.

There are so many fulltime residents in the valley, and many visitors that take advantage of off season hotel rates, that restaurants can stay open year round.

When they do the actual scalp, usually in September/October, being right on the course can get a little dusty/grassy, especially if the wind kicks up. But they are pretty quick about scalping and hauling the old grass away. That takes a few days.Often they will spray a fertilizer too.But after that short period, its just a few weeks until the re-seed takes and its back to normal.Sprinklers run alot during the re-seed.

If you have allergies, you might want to avoid being near a couse with a fresh scalp. Wait a few weeks until the grass grows back.

You can find seeding schedules on line.

I don't understand your question...what do you mean...Is it too quite... did you mean quiet? I notice that you have a tendency jump all over posters and it's time for pay back!

Those places that do close, fewer it seems each year, are open by September. I used to live in La Quinta. As mentioned, temps will probably have dropped to the 90s.

Great time to go as long as you do not have allergies. Also don't stay on a course that is actively scalping or overseeding, (dust, noise). Growing time is fine, though.

Stand by Golf has an overseeding schedule, if the resort isn't listed check with them.
