Is there only 2 Casino's in Palm Springs??

We will be in Palm Springs for the first time in October and is there only 2 casinos in the area of Palm Springs? I keep hearing and seeing advertising that there are so many casinos around here but I only find the Spa resort casino and the Aqua Caliente casino. Is that all the casino's here?

Well, there is the City of Palm Springs, and then the Palm Desert area, where most of them are located.

So yes, there are 2 in the city, but plenty around the area.

Yes, there several in the area, like east to Indio and west to Cabazon. But only two in the city.

Palm Springs is not Las Vegas! I'm guessing that the Casinos in the area are all Native American Casinos. Each one is going to be a lot like the others, and without the major "theming" of most LV casinos. Entertainment provided will be a major difference among them. Unlike virtually every other venue in California, they allow smoking (like "real" casinos in Vegas).

The general desert area has several more casinos, but if one wants to drink, one should do that at the casino that's within walking distance of one's hotel. Machines and games will be about the same everywhere.

All the casinos in California are Native American Casinos but they are not all alike.

Some are much better than others. We have only been to the Indian Casino in downtown Palm Springs and Morongo out on the hwy. We don't go for the food or the entertainment but just to play a little as I don't like the smoke.

There are some in San Diego County where the non smoking areas are large and so we do more gaming at home than when we are in the Palm Springs area.

Thank you all for your replies as we will be going there to golf and enjoy the outdoors but it is always nice to go out for an hour at night for some gaming and entertainment. We will have a car and since I don't drink it isn't a problem with driving somewhere.

The Agua Caliente Casino is the larger casino, with the Spa Casino in down town Palm Springs.

Fantasy Springs and Spotlight 29 are 20 minute drives down valley.

Moronogo is 20 minutes the other way.

Agua Caliente is probably the most Vegas like, I like Fantasy, Spa is small but beautiful. Enjoy your stay in our great desert.

We enjoyed the Spa Casino and as you mentioned, we went most evenings for a pre- dinner cocktail and a little gambling. We visited several other casinos but won at Spa so obviously it was our favorite.

Thank you all for your responses. We went to both the Spa Casino and the Aqua Caliente and we did prefer the Aqua Caliente as Tim M mentioned its bigger and more Vegas like which it is. More to play and more room. The Spa was small, busy and so hard to find anything to play and it just didn't seem like a Spa casino resort should be like. The outside looks like it should be grande inside but it isn't.
