Driving to San Diego

We are visiting Palm Springs in June. We need to be in San Diego two days of our trip to attend a family wedding. How much time does the trip normally take?

use google maps to outline the trip. If you do this on a sunday you can expect heavy traffic like the las vegas returnees.

It almost always takes us about 2hrs. to get from Palm Springs to our place near La Jolla in the northern part of the city of San Diego.

WHERE exactly are you staying in "Palm Springs" and where exactly do you need to be in San Diego? Times may vary as both are large spread out areas.

We are staying downtown Palm Springs. The wedding is in the Mission Bay Area. We will be flying back home from San Diego.

OK then our normal route which is 10 to 60 to 210 to 15 south to 52 west and then 5 south to Mission Bay(just south of our location) should take 2hrs. without much traffic.

Day of the week and time of day of travel will affect the road time.

We usually leave Palm Springs at about 9-9:30AM to do that drive.
