Winery with good picnic area

Two couples (40ish) planning on picking up lunch- to-go in downtown Paso on a September Saturday then head out to a winery to purchase their wine and relax

What's a good place for the lunch take-out?

Can you recommend one or two with nice grounds/view not likely to be overun by a tourist buses ?

Paso Robles wine country isn't as touristy as Napa up north, so you're more likely to see limos and touring vans as opposed to actual buses here.

Here's one property that looks very inviting for a picnic lunch:

Agree with Kibblesmom. Calcareous is a great place for a picnic. On a hilltop looking east towards Paso. They have picnic tables out on the lawn. I've heard Croad has a good view but I haven't been there. Halter Ranch also has a picnic area but no great view. Grab a sandwich or pizza at Cafe 46 located on Hwy 46 just east of Vineyard drive. The pork sandwich is really good. Have fun.

Thank you for the suggestion- it can save us time - apparently our group has grown from 4 to 8!
