Do any of the nearby wineries feature white wines?

Big reds are the specialty in the Paso Robles area. That said, Linne Calodo's one white -- named Contrarian, a viognier-roussane blend, ranks among the very best whites I've ever drunk (that includes Stony Hill chardonnays, and some great French Chablis).

As mentioned, Paso Robles is more of a red wine locale (More specifically... Zinfandels). However, the majority of wineries offer white wines. Most tastings start with chardonnays to reds to dessert wines.

A specialty of Paso is Rhone-style wines, so many wineries offer a Viognier, which is a dry white, with slight floral notes. There are also some which offer Sauvignon Blancs, which are perfect in Paso on a hot summer day. J. Lohr is a large winery, but they are a big producer of many whites, which come from their vineyards in north Monterey County. They have such a varied amount that, for instance, you could do a tasting of all their Sauvignon Blancs against each other or all their Chardonnays or do a vertical tasting of the same Sauvignon Blanc, but over different years. That would be a good place to start. The people there are very friendly and their wines are well made.

Check out EOS. We also enjoy Robert Hall's white wines. :)

There are tons of great white wines in Paso Robles, especially Rhone blends as mentioned. PasoWine.com has a great map with a "search by wine" feature, go here: http://www.pasowine.com/ava-map/

Have a great visit, enjoy all of our fantastic white wines! If you need more visitor info, go to www.travelpaso.com. Thanks!

I'm not sure if Alban has a tasting room in the area, but they make some luscious Rhone whites, especially their viognier!

I'm not a white wine drinker but you might want to check Tablas Creek. Seems they had quite a few whites the last time I was there. Also, while big Zins, Syrahs, & rhone blends are the specialty in that area most of the wineries do have whites available.
