Placerville in may?

I'm planning an Anniversary trip for me and my girlfriend in May of this year...and I LOOOOVE the B&B Eden Vale Inn in Placerville and I thought it would be a beautiful place to go...but does anyone know of fun things to do in Placerville in the summertime? most of the farms and apple orchards aren't open in the summer and We can't spend an entire 2 or 3 days just touring wineries...so what else is there to do in the area?

Lake Tahoe is 90 minute drive away - easy to get to when staying in Placerville,. Just drive highway 50 to South Lake Tahoe area.

Go to the Marshall State Park - 30 minute or less drive from Placerville.

If you like river rafting, rafting the American River is always fun to do.

(Note; It depends when in May if the season has started or not).

Lake Folsom for a picnic

If you like Indian gambling, Red Hawk Casino

If you like shopping, Folsom Premium Outlets (just drive down highway 50)

Lots of good movie theaters in area....so catch a movie

Take a day trip south on Historic Hwy 49. Jackson is an interesting town to wander around.... tripadvisor.com/Travel-g32535-c151199/Jackso…

Go north to Auburn and cross the Foresthill bridge - tallest in CA and 3rd tallest in the USA... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foresthill_Bridge

Maybe look into renting a boat on Folsom Lake.
