This would be our first time in the area and we are looking for two or three wineries in the SLO / Paso Robles areas. If possible:

-free wine tasting

-vineyard tours

-beautiful location

My favorite winery near SLO is the Edna Valley Winery with it's beautiful view overlooking a vineyard and Islay Hill (a dormant volcano). Baileyana & Kynsi are also good options. Not a lot of wineries offer free tastings unless you buy wine from them.

We like Adelaida and Halter Ranch, both "West Side" Paso Robles wineries. I have family members who got married at Adelaida last year. Very beautiful, but I don't think many places have free tastings, although a lot of them in Paso will waive the tasting fee with purchase.
