Another hotel question!

Hi guys

Will be in SLO on Thursday 3rd October. Will the farmers market be on? Looking for a hotel around $100 max. Will have a car but fancy walking around so somewhere near centre with parking. Noticed the travelodge, any good?

Thanks in advance

Andy

The only thing that ever cancels the farmer's market on Thursday night is severe weather or a major holiday. No worries for Oct 3.

I don't know anything about the travelodge. What do the reviews have to say? I usually recommend Peach Tree Inn on Monterey Street for budget friendly lodging in SLO.

Hi

Reviews for travelodge isn't too bad, also looked at the best western. The peach tree looks brilliant but it's apparently fully booked for when I'm there!

Just be aware that the Travelodge is a bit of a walk to the downtown area where the farmer's market is. And you have to cross busy Santa Rosa Street to get back and forth. Have you looked at Quality Suites or La Quinta? They're a bit closer to downtown. Still have to cross Santa Rosa Street, but at least you wouldn't have so much of an uphill climb getting back to your room.

Why not stay in Pismo? You can stroll the pier or walk along the beach. it's only 10-15 min from SLO. Nothing wrong with SLO just that if you're that close to the ocean why not stay nearer the beach?

It's off season and during the week so you should be able to get something in your price range. Hotwire has two 3 star hotels in Pismo that are right at $100 inc taxes. Orchid Suites is $89 + tax and includes breakfast. Ooh. The Spyglass Inn has a King Bed with balcony & partial ocean view for $102 + tax. Just saying. Have fun.
