Hearst Castle Tours

We are going to visit Hearst Castle one day in April and want to take 2 tours, Tour 1 and Tour 2. Each is 1 hr and 45 min. How long should I plan to allow between each tour, to allow time to have a little lunch and make the next tour? Would 2 hours between the end of one tour and the beginning of the next be about right? or way tooooo long or short? Thanks so much for any info you can provide.

This would really be up to you and where you want to have your lunch, but I think 2 hours might be a nice break between tours.

You could grab sandwiches at Sebastian's General Store on the other side of the highway and then park over by San Simeon pier and enjoy a pretty water view while you enjoy your lunch, if that sounds appealing.

If you plan on watching the IMAX movie that comes with Tour #1 as an option, you'll need to add an additional 40-45 minutes to your tour time.
