Hello to Sedona Innkeeper (from a newly retired B&B innkeeper) --

It's been several years since I worked at a B&B in Santa Barbara but these would be my top three choices for a wedding. (I did not work at any of these.)

I encourage you to check out these properties in person. All are beautiful properties, just different. All are in downtown Santa Barbara, about one mile from each other (The Upham is maybe one mile from the El Encanto and The Simpson House is in between the two hotels, geographically speaking).

Be sure to ask about guest parking as parking can be somewhat limited in downtown Santa Barbara.

1. UPHAM HOTEL (55+ rooms, full service restaurant, historic property, mid-range)

www.uphamhotel.com

2. SIMPSON HOUSE (bed & breakfast, approx 15 rooms, no restaurant, historic, upscale)

www.simpsonhouseinn.com

3. EL ENCANTO HOTEL (92 rooms, 7 acres, newly renovated and slated to reopen March 2013, full service restaurant, historic, upscale)

www.elencanto.com

Have fun!

Try Heartstone Ranch.

We got married there in may and blew us away and we looked at a lot of spots around SB county. It also has a lot of in-house things, taking the sting out of high rental costs. They have two built in bars, a dance floor and power. They are also closer to downtown then the wineries and have on-site parking.

Good luck and enjoy your day,
