Santa Monica markets

My apologies if this information has already been asked or is here already. I did search under various topics here and could not find anything concrete. We are a group of 4 Aussie women staying in Santa Monica in a few weeks who love to shop and visit markets. I'm a bit confused about the farmers market, or a market that showcases crafts and local handmade things. There seem to be 2 markets downtown and in Main street. Which is the main market and is it on Saturday or Sunday as we will be there from Friday to Monday. Thank you.

There is no market for crafts.

There is a Farmer's Market (not to be confused with the Los Angeles Famers Market on the other side of town, next to The Grove), where farmers bring their fruit and vegetables to sell in stands spread over several blocks (the streets close) on Wed and Sat Morning. This is on 2nd Street and Arizona, and surrounding blocks. You will find handmade items like honey, lavender soaps, and such.

The similar market takes place, although much smaller, on Ocean Park in the parking lot behind the Victorian on Main Street, on Sunday mornings. This one does have some handmade crafts, clothing, and jewelry booths.
