Any Sunnyvale Restaurant Recommendations for Lunch?

I must go to Sunnyvale later this month and want to have lunch down there before heading home. I'm not at all familiar with the area and am looking for something like Flea Street Cafe in Menlo Park, or the Calif. Cafe in the Stanford Barn. Any place closer to Sunnyvale (don't want to go south of there)? Or should I just head for Palo Alto/Menlo Park? Thanks for any suggestions!

I just took a look at Tarragon's Website (www.dinetarragon.com) and it appears to be my kind of place, located in the historic area of DT Sunnyvale on S. Murphy (didn't know Sunnyvale had a historic area!) Any opinions on this restaurant?

I'm not familiar with either Flea Street Cafe or Calif Cafe. I've never been to Tarragon, but looking at its website for a feel of atmosphere (looks like a fairly modern, somewhat classy motif with Mediterranean + Pacific influences) not much other than P F Chang's in Sunnyvale comes to mind.

Other ideas are:

Mountain View (Castro St area): Frankie Johnnie & Luigi too

Palo Alto (California Ave area): Olive Garden, Joannie's Cafe, Sundance Steakhouse

Palo Alto (University Ave area): California Pizza Kitchen, Il Fornaio, Nola's, Cheesecake Factory

Palo Alto (Stanford shopping center area)

Each of these areas have a bunch of restaurants.

Otherwise, the area down here has a lot of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Mexican & Indian restaurants.

Oh yah. One more idea: Michael's at Shoreline in Mt View. It's very convenient to Hwy 101.

Thanks for the suggestions, Darth! I've never been to a P.F. Chang and the menu looks great--might be time for me to eat there.

I like how you word it: "I must go to Sunnyvale..." :-)

If it's not too late, Faz is also an interesting choice. Kind of like CA Cafe in terms of fanciness, but with a Mediterranean twist (kabobs, grilled meat). Had a great sea bass there a long time ago. Nice but not outrageously priced. It's near 101 attached to a Sheraton, near Moffett Field.

Kabul above is good, Fish Market next door is good also. Tao Tao is also very good, easy and good burgers is St Johns on Lawerance Expressway
