Napa Valley Lodge or Vintage Inn?

Which is a better place to stay? I am looking to go this August for 2 nights.

Also, is it necessary to book an interior facing room at the Vintage Inn to avoid street noise?

Hello and welcome! Are you set on either one of these places? Also, in Yountville is the Villagio Inn & Spa which is a sister property to Vintage Inn. They have recently completed a new spa this past March. The property is beautiful, dotted with fountains and has a Tuscan-feel to it. The rooms are very nice with granite in the bathroom countertops, comfy beds, fireplaces, and a bottle of wine in your room upon arrival. The outdoor pool area is gorgeous and their Champagne buffet in the morning was one of the nicest buffets I've had. You can walk across the street to Ad Hoc or REDD for dinner.

Have fun in the wine country and Happy New Year! :)

We always find it amusing about Napa Valley Lodge...it used to be a Best Western years back and then it was just ok. Now it has a fancier name and a higher price and is still just ok. Yountville is a pretty place and a good central location in Napa Valley, so the reason why it still can capture the price. There are much better places to choose from...but if you have your heart set on these 2, have a good time.

We stayed at Napa Valley Lodge several years ago and while very nice, also found the adjacent road traffic at night quite disturbing.

Last week we stayed at Villagio. It was terrific, no road noise, the buffet breakfast and late afternoon tea time excellent. Will stay there again!

Yountville Inn another good choice from what we saw and it would also be away from road noise.
