Pioneer Town

Is there a fee to enter the movie set portion of this town? Or is the entire town the movie set? Sounds like a good stop for kids en route to Joshua Tree Natl Park from Palm Springs.

It's a bit cheesy but still a nice sidetrip and admission is free and no, not the "entire" town is a movie set. You'll have to park your car at the parkinglot. It's only 5 miles from ca62 on a good, paved road that already brings you in the mood. Maybe check www.pioneertown.com

Have fun
