Holy Colorado! I need some help!

Wow, it's weird, I never thought I would ever post on here in the same place that I live. I am on TA all the time, for other locations! BUT, I have been trying to find a location to take my husband for the weekend of August 15-17. And let me tell ya, holy cow, high-country Colorado isn't cheap! Wow, I cannot find anything under $150 a night in, Breck, Aspen, Gunnison, Buena Vista, and the rest of the area! We are in Colo Springs, and my husband has never been to the high-country! Weird, I know... but I want to show it to him!

So if anyone has any good ideas please let me know! I have found cheaper places but they look like something out of a 70's horror movie?!?!

If there's any links you can send, please send to collina99@hotmail.com

thanks again!

Go to vrbo.com. you should be able to find some nice condos still at this time which is a little late in the season. You can PM me, and I will try to give more advice. I prefer not to give out the numbers of the condos or homes because of the fact that some may think that I am promoting them, I have just done much research for my own personal needs, so I know a little bit about what is out there.

The weekend of the 15-17 is one of the last premium weekends of the summer other than Labor Day. If you have the flexibility to travel on weekdays instead you'll find the prices are much lower. www.aspensnowmass.com and www.stayaspensnowmass.com.

I am headed to a B&B in Breck this weekend! It's the Jazz and Wine Festival too!!! Yeah!! I actually found a place below $150 a night! And they serve breakfast and afternoon tea! I cannot wait and I will have a trip report when I get back!

This is where we will be staying www.abbettplacer.com
