Vail or Keystone for tubing?

We will be in Breckenridge in early April and have a day of tubing planned. We will have a rental car so we are fine with driving to either Vail or Keystone and are trying to decide which place to go. Am I correct that you need to buy a gondola pass to get to Adventure Ridge in Vail in addition to paying for the tubing? Is the gondola free after 4 pm? Would that be a better time to go? If we were to go in Keystone, is the the tubing fee just that--or is there a lift ticket as well?

Thanks in advance.

Vail tubing area is longer but straight; Keystone has a bend. I prefer Vail as did family and friends. Parking and gondola is free after 3 pm. Staying at Breck you'll have a shorter car time to Keystone. Note rules and advance reservations at Keystone are definitely required. Not sure abt Vail. You can call and ask.

You can also go tubing at the Frisco Adventure Park, which is closer to Breck than either Keystone or Vail.

Go with whatever is closest. Keystone over Frisco because you get to take the gondola up.

<<have a day of tubing planned>>

It is not a full day, more like an hour of tubing plus the gondola ride.

Thank you for your help...I'm glad to hear it's free after 3! I realize it's not a whole day however with the drive time, gondola ride, tubing, and dinner after it's enough of a full day for our party of 6 :)

Vail is the best, Frisco is better, but Keystone does have the Gondola.

Since you are staying In Breck, your full day would probably be better spent at Keystone. There is a nice little village to walk around, to wet your whistle, and shops to browse.

Take Swann Mountain Road for a shortcut and a beautiful drive.
