We're considering adding Bijagua/Tenorio Volcano NP to our agenda in place of Monteverde. We'd like to do the Rio Celeste, of course, and maybe the hanging bridges at Heliconias Lodge as well. I read that the turquoise waters of Rio Celeste aren't nearly as distinct if it's been raining. We would be there for 3 days/2 nights in early/mid July. Will we get to see that beautiful water color change? The waterfall/hike looks so amazing in pictures -- I'd be disappointed if it doesn't live up to its promise because it's too rainy in July. If it seems unlikely that we'll see the lovely colors, we'll probably decide to go to Monteverde instead of Tenorio Volcano NP. Thanks for your thoughts.
