Pikes Peak Best Day to visit

We are planning on driving up Pikes Peak on Sunday or Monday, August 1 or 2. These two days are our only opportunity before we head home. We also plan to drive through Rocky Mountain National Park on one day. We want to avoid crowds as much as possible. I also know weather can also be a determining factor. Is there a better day to do each of these? I imagine Monday is less crowded than Sunday. Which place should we go on Sunday? On Monday? Thanks for your help.

Just checked the calendar. My dates should be Sunday, August 3 and Monday, August 4.

As I said on your other post, there is more to see and do on the drive to and through RMNP so I would do it on Monday. You want an early start for Pike's Peak, too. Views are usually better in the morning as afternoon thundershowers can move in and obscure views. This is true whether you drive Pike's Peak or take the Cog Railway.
