Driving Back From Moab...

I'll be driving back from Moab, Utah with my four year old son and am looking for a recommendation of a place to stay for two nights before we fly out of DIA. After Moab, I think we'll be taking my son to the children's museum in Denver! Do you think Golden is a good location to stay? Any suggestions (even ideas of things to do, restaurants to eat at) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

One place I'd definitely stop is at Dinosaur Journey in Fruita.

My grandkids like to visit downtown Denver to see the tall buildings, Union Station, and ride the free 16th Street shuttle, see the Blue Bear at the Convention Center.... The Art Museum has good children's activities.

The Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster is a favorite, as well. Dinosaur Ridge would be good, and staying in West Denver/Golden would be convenient for that. You might consider a visit to the Lookout Mountain Nature Center

or the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.

Stop in Glenwood Springs for some hot springs pool time! Great fun. Also just outside of Denver to the west is Idaho Springs, great pizza Beau Joes.
