Volunteering in Denver

My family (7) is planning a baseball trip to Denver (Sept 24-28). The family flies in from Memphis TN, Edmonton AB, and London ON. The trip centers around the ball game on Sunday, and everyone gets to pick one place to visit and we all go together. Funny thing how my sons have accepted this plan. Parents are 81 and 85, two sons and 1 girlfriend are 22-25 and my sister and I are are somwhere inbetween!! Have the hotel and van organized.

Now my question......this is my pick. Any thoughts on where to volunteer? Time slot would be Sat am or possible Mon am for 3-4hours. The Denver Food Bank has no availability on Sat (best time slot). I know our time availibility is not long but we have it in the numbers. I am just thinking of something different. Having visited 25 ball parks, we have done a LOT of city tours, museums, zoos and gardens(nana like the garden tours!), I am open to all suggestions for this 3 generation activity.

Thank you in advance.

I thought of the Dumb Friends League or the Animal Shelter, but they both require volunteer orientation and training. I wonder if the Maxfund no kill sheter might be a little more flexible if you contact their volunteer coordinator and explain the idea. maxfund.org/index.php…
