Curtis Hotel or Hampton Inn-Denver Downtown

My husband and I will be in Denver for 2 nights in August. I am looking to book Hilton Honors points and the Curtis and Hampton Inn Downtown seem to be the best ones that have the points available and the most convenient to all the attractions in Denver. I read the reviews for each and I still can't make up my mind. I heard that the Curtis could be noisy and it allows pets ( which I am allergic too). While the Hampton Inn Downtown may not be as nice (quality wise) as the Curtis. Has anybody stayed in both? We are 40 and want a nice hotel that is quiet. Which would you pick?

The Curtis does allow dogs, supposedly on just certain floors. I have heard that is often ignored though.

The Hampton Inn is newer the location not as good as the Curtis.

The Curtis is known more of a party hotel.

I will throw this one out as well
